NOVA IN M31 (=2022ENG)

Further to E3684 and discovery by George Carey, a later report has received of
the nova this time in ATEL15265:

K. Hornoch, H. Kucakova (Astronomical Institute, Ondrejov, Czech Republic)
report discovery of a probable nova in M31 on a co-added 900-s R-band CCD
frame taken on 2022 Mar. 7.753 UT with the 0.65-m telescope at Ondrejov.

The object designated on Central Bureau pages PNV J00420894+4106240 is located
at

RA 0h42m08s.94, DEC +41o06'24".0 (2000.0), which is 399.4" west and 584.5"
south of the centre of M31 (see link to discovery image below).

The following R-band magnitudes were obtained using the 0.65-m telescope at
Ondrejov:

2022 Feb. 28.754 UT, [19.8; Mar. 7.753, 17.2 ± 0.1.

As with all extragalactic novae, follow-up spectroscopic and photometric
observations to confirm the nova's nature and determine its spectroscopic
class and rate of decline (speed class) are encouraged.
