SN 2022FUC in NGC 4545

Giancarlo Cortini relays on TNS Astronomical Transient Report No. 143059
discovery of a new astronomical transient.

IAU Designation: SN 2022fuc

Coordinates (J2000):
RA = 12:34:34.350 (188.643125) DEC = +63:31:06.40 (63.518444)

Discovery date: 2022-04-02 21:05:00.000 (JD=2459672.3784722)

Potential host galaxy: NGC 4545

Remarks: Giancarlo Cortini (Monte Maggiore Observatory-Predappio-ITALY)
reports the discovery of a PSN by 0.35m. Sch.-Cass. F/5.5 + Starlight
X-Press Trius SX9 CCD camera on several unfiltered images taken on Apr.02.88
(U.T.) , 120 sec. exposure, mag. about+ 17.0,limit mag. about+ 19.0. My past
image of the same field taken on 2022/03/03.98 showed nothing at that
position (limit mag.+18.5) and it doesn't appear on P.O.S.S. II red and blue
plates. No known minor planet is marked in that position for the time of the
discovery. Mag. values from: GC and USNO.

Photometry Discovery (first detection): 2022-04-02 21:05:00.000
Flux: 17 Other; Filter: Clear-; Instrument: Other; Telescope: Other

Last non-detection date: 2022-03-03 23:28:00
Limiting flux: 18.5 Other; Filter: Clear-

Details of the new object can be viewed here:

A later spectral report suggests a type II.
