P/Comet Russell 2 (1987q)

M.P.Candy, Perth Observatory, reports recovery of this comet on
plates taken by P.Jekabsons et al on July 1-6. The comet is of
stellar appearance with m2=20. The correction to predictions on
MPC10520 is delta-T=+2.6 days. (IAUC 4415)

1959 LM = 1987 MB

C.Shoemaker reports her discovery of a fast-moving asteroid,
1987 MB on Palomar exposures taken on June 24 when the magnitude
was 17. C.M.Bardwell suggests identical with 1959 LM which is
confirmed by orbital calculations by Marsden. The object is
currently at declination -19 degrees and V= approx 16.
