Jupiter

T.Broadbank, Phillips-Peek Observatory, Poole, reports that he has
observed unusual activity on Jupiter during June/July.
In particular he has observed increased spot activity on the
following side of the GRS and the reappearance of the SEBz.
He also notes a change in the colour of the GRS which was recorded
as pink in June and early July but which by July 8 was noted as a
grey sandy colour in the southern half but white n f, a similar
appearance to that recorded by T.E.R.Phillips in the 1930's.
He further mentions observation of dark material north and south of
the GRS moving from the following end to the SEBs following.
(Observations made with 0.26-m refl. x240)
Please e-mail further observations.
