V394 Corona Austrinae

Further to the announcement on E-circular 44, the outburst was
detected on two PROBLICOM photos taken on Aug 2.
A spectrum by Liller on Aug 3.021UT showed intense H-alpha
emission.

McNaught provides the following precise position of a mag 18 star,
which is presumed to be the recurrent nova:
      RA 17h56m58s.21 -39 00'29".4 (1950)
secured with the Uppsala on Aug 3.7 on Tri-X film.(IAUC 4428 etc)

J.Bortle, Stormville, New York advises us that this comet continues
to be much brighter than predicted:
July 16.11UT, 10.3; 17.11, 10.6; 18.14, 10.5; 22.14, 10.6; 29.11,
10.7.(0.32-m f5.6 refl. x68).
