The comet is badly placed and no observations have been reported
since those of Aug 30 when m1 was about 10.

Supernova 1987L in NGC 2336
A.V.Filippenko and M.A.Strauss, University of Calfiornia at
Berkeley report that this supernova is of type Ia rather than type
II (as given in this month's TA).                     (IAUC 4447)
A chart and sequence have now been drawn and can be supplied free.
Please e-mail MAG60138 and ask for chart SN1987L. Based on our
preliminary sequence, G.M.Hurst estimated the magnitude as 14.6 on
photos by A.Young of 1987 Aug 27.
