Comet Helin (1987w)
Eleanor Helin, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, reports her discovery of
a comet on the Palomar Sky Survey II plates exposed by J.Mueller
with the Palomar 1.2-m Schmidt. The comet is condensed with a
possible tail in pa 235 degs. Subsequently, A.Maury of Palomar
Observatory has identified the comet on other exposures taken Sept
17-18:
