Supernova 1987M in NGC 2715
Brian Marsden telexes that Lovas has discovered a supernova in NGC
2715 which is located at: RA 9h01m.9 DEC +78 17'(1950) in Cam. The
galaxy is of mag 11.9v, dimensions 4.4'x1.1', type Sc. The
supernova was found on 1987 Sept 21.90104UT at mag 15.0pg and the
offsets from the nucleus are RA +2", DEC +20".         (IAU Telex).

VY Aquarii
With reference to the reported outburst of this star mentioned on
E-circulars 61 & 62, John Isles, Cyprus now informs us that he
actually observed star 's' (mag 13.7 on TA chart) and therefore
VY Aqr was not seen. He thanks the e-mail team for their prompt
checking of the event, the results of which were relayed to him in
Cyprus.
