CENTRAL STAR IN NGC 1501 VARIABLE?(=Q1987/49)
S.Korth, Germany, has reported that the central star of the
planetary nebula, NGC 1501 (RA 04h02.7m DEC +60 47,1950) was
earlier seen near mag 13 but in recent weeks was not seen to mag 15
in 0.35-m SC. According to the catalogue by A.Acker et al various
sources give V as 14.14-14.75 but none quotes variation. Further
observations of this star would be appreciated.
