POSSIBLE SN IN M31
Brian Marsden has telephoned to say that a possible SN in M31 has
been reported at:
RA 0h41m.8 DEC +41 35'(1950). It is believed the report emanated
from Sterberg, Crimean Station. Observations positive or negative
are urgently needed tonight.

COMET ICHIMURA (1987d1)
Rob McNaught, Siding Spring Observatory, e-mails that the comet was
observed by M.Clark, Perth, on Nov 23.60UT at m1=8.7, dia 10', DC2,
with 0.32-m refl x51. The position was estimated as:
RA 3h50m.7 DEC -21 50'(1950).
Dave Herald has also obtained the following astrometry:
Nov 23.44844UT 3h52m08.09s DEC -21 26'16.1" (1950)
    23.47254   3 51 58.75      -21 30 00.3  (1950)
Gordon Garradd, Tamworth, NSW, also reports that he has recorded a
possible image on Nov 21.492UT at:
RA 4h 03.8m DEC -16 38'(1950), m1 approx 9.5, on a photo with a
24mmFL f4 lens, 36 min exposure on K2415.
