The positive image on one chart of Papadopoulos appears to preclude
the possibility of a nova. The results from Palomar Sky Survey are
curious if the star is of mira-type. The star is barely visible on
the red but 2-3 magnitudes above the limit of the blue, both plates
having been taken on the same night.
Brian Manning reports the following precise position from an
exposure by M.Mobberley on 1988 Mar 25:
RA 02h 26m 22.21s DEC +39 49'19.9" (1950)
Reduction: 4 SAOC stars.
Alan Young also reports astrometry from his exposure of Mar 26 with
