The star is located at: RA 10h03m09s DEC +67 47.4'(1950) Visual estimates: Apr 12 (21.45UT) 14.3 (Gainsford, 0.26-m refl) 12 (22.10UT) 14.0 (Albrighton,0.26-m refl) OBJECT IN NGC 4449(Q1988/23) S.Lubbock reports a possible new object of mag 14.5 slightly to the west of the nucleus of this galaxy. The observation is uncertain and further observations are needed. Position of galaxy: RA 12h25.7m DEC +44 22'(1950) (A star about 1' to the E is of mag 14.1.) POSSIBLE COMET(Q1988/21) Ramonda, Reunion Island has telephoned news of a possible comet seen on Apr 9 (10h20mUT) at: RA 04h48m30s DEC -32 05'(1950) Mag 10. (0.15-m refl) No further information is available other than a possible observation by A.Pearce, Western Australia but this may be of RNGC 1679. Further assistance is needed.
