John Isles comments: This star was unobserved from my site at Limassol mid-Dec to early May but I have made 222 negative checks since the 1987 Jun-July outburst so they are probably consecutive outbursts. NOVA SAGITTARII 1987 Rob McNaught e-mails that a photo with the Uppsala Southern Schmidt on Aug 13.4UT recorded this nova at mag 19.
