COMET SMM 5
Referring to the note on E-209, Rob McNaught advises us that the
reference to 1988m in the third line is incorrect as this = SMM 4.
Brian Marsden refers to another discovery not yet officially
announced for which further details are awaited.
We would also ask that as Brian's comments are very preliminary the
report should not be reproduced without his or our consent.

OCCULTATIONS BY NEPTUNE
B Sicardy, Observatoire de Paris, Meudon reports various details of
occultations by Neptune observed on Aug 2, 25 and Sept 12. The
outcome is that none of the observations show conspicuous evidence
for secondary events due to ring-like objects in Neptune's Roche
limit. IAUC 4665
