POSSIBLE COMET=Q1989/15
Jost Jahn (MAG40869) informs us that Andreas Nathues of Muenster
Germany has recorded a possible comet on two exposures on 1989
Mar 5 at about 23hUT. The exposures of 10m and 20m were taken with
200mm f3.5 lens on K2415 and the object was located at:
RA 13h45m DEC +50 18'(1950).
The estimated magnitude was mpg=8 and the object 2.8'x1.1' with no
tail visible. The possibility of a ghost image has not been ruled
out as the object showed no obvious motion.
Could observers please check the area and any recent films of that
region.
