QUERY OBJECT IN NGC 4494 (=Q1989/23)
Reports were received during last night of a possible SN in
NGC 4494 located RA 12h28.9m DEC +26 03'(1950). Pujol, Spain had
observed an object of approx mag 12 near the nucleus on Mar 31 and
Apr 1. Observations last night by Lubbock and Hurst showed only a
star-like nucleus of approx mag 13 and no additional star. The
matter has not been totally resolved as we need previous
observations and photos of the nucleus. Anyone with earlier results
please e-mail the Editor.

FSV 1132-11
John Toone reports an outburst of this eruptive object in Crater.
On Apr 3.95UT the star was recorded at 13.0. An independent report
was subsequently received via Rob McNaught of a result by A.Pearce,
West Australia Apr 3.80UT, 12.9. As this may be the early stage of
the eruption please make frequent estimates and e-mail daily.

SN 1989F
J.-C.Merlin (MAG 100851) e-mails that the parent galaxy could be
UGC 08084. (See also note on E282).
