OV ORIONIS (=Q1989/27)
John Hosty, Marsden (MAG36986) reports that a star is recorded on
the cover photo of the Orion Nebula (TA300) approximately 11.0cm
from the left edge and 16.6cm from the top which was not noted on
earlier photos.
The Editor calculates the following position:
RA 05h33m26s DEC -05 14.9'(1950) and estimates the magnitude as
14.8pv +/-0.2 using the TA sequence.
It has been identified as OV Ori whose catalogued range is
15.1-17.2p. ID was confirmed by reference to Dearborn Obs.Ann VII
Part 3 (1958).
A second star at 11.4cm (from left) and 17.0cm (from top) is:
NSV 2385 RA 5h33m30s DEC -05 14.8'(1950) 13.02-13.22V.
