Brian Marsden telexes that Liller has found a nova in Sco at:
RA 17h48.6m DEC -32 31'(1950)

P CYG
J.-C.Merlin requests continued coverage of P Cyg (cf325) beyond the
original dates. Please e-mail results to him on MAG100851.

Q1989/60
Following the report on E330, the Editor confirms that the value of
D should be 11.2 and this is corrected on a TA chart revision of
890819 for VX Cas.

1989 PB
Rob McNaught has e-mailed astrometrists with a more detailed
ephemeris and guidance notes for recording this object. Copies can
be obtained by contacting him on 07:GED001.
He also calculates the possibility of a meteor shower from debris
from this object.
The radiant during nodal passage on Aug 18.66UT:
RA 14h40m DEC -21 deg (1950). Atmospheric velocity 18.5 km/sec.
Activity could continue over the next week with the radiant moving
towards the position of the Sun at about 1 deg/day.
Rob hopes to send further notes on searching for asteroids which
we plan to publish in Sept TA.

R CRB
Over recent months we have repeatedly receive reports from numerous
observers of a fade of R CrB. These have often been followed by
'brighter' estimates. This continued up to last night when the
scatter was 7.0-7.4. Please continue regular coverage.
