NSV 00783 (=Q1989/63)
M.Collins (MAG36908) reports his 'recovery' of NSV 00783 during
checking of UK Nova Patrol photos of Sept 3. On that date the
star was at 11.7 whereas on 1988 Nov 13 it was estimated at 9.9.
The position is: RA 02h15m43s DEC +63 56.0'(1950)
He finds this equals IRC+60080. A chart is available on e-mail
request.

TASV 0449+47 (=Q1989/64)
Collins also reports discovery of an uncatalogued variable at:
RA 04h49.4m DEC +47 01'(1950)
on UK Nova Patrol photos of 1989 Sept 3. The range so far recorded
is 10.2-11.2 based on K2415 exposures. A chart is available on
e-mail request.

TASV 0510+42 (=Q1989/65)
Collins also has found another uncatalogued variable at:
RA 05h10.0m DEC +42 33'(1950)
on UK Nova Patrol photos of 1989 Sept 3.
The range is small, probably 9.9-10.7 from available exposures
and further estimates are needed to confirm variability.
Star A on the original chart prepared by M.Collins is probably
SY Aur and this has been dropped. Star 1 = SAOC 040165 and
located at: RA 5h11m45s DEC +42 39'(1950) has been added with a
value of 9.4. A chart is available on e-mail request.

Q1989/67
John Hosty has queried a star in the Pleiades which he observed on
1989 Sept 4 at 22.20UT with 0.10-m refractor x25. he estimates the
position as RA 03h44.5m DEC +23 54'(1950)
It is an object of 7.3v near a star of 3.28, approximately midway
between 3.28 and another of 9.02. It appears this star is missing
from several charts. Does anyone have further information?

E-CHARTS
Nick James (MAG90713) advises that he now has programs available to
plot charts from numerical details sent by e-mail. It is planned
that discoverers should prepare such data wherever possible and
e-mail it on request to permit observations the same night. I
understand programs are so far available for IBM PCs and BBC
micros. Please e-mail him for further details or send 5.25" disc
