V3890 SAGITTARII
P. Kilmartin and A. Gilmore, Mt. John University Observatory, report
that A. F. Jones, Nelson, New Zealand, has found this novalike
variable (N Sgr 1962) to be in outburst.  The following visual
magnitude estimates are available:  Apr. 27.72 UT, 8.5 (Jones);
28.68, 9.0 (A. Pearce, Scarborough, W. Australia).

Editor: The star was found by H.Dinerstein on plates taken by
D.Hoffleit. Maximum magnitude observed was 8.4 with max between 1962
May 10 and June 2. (IBVS 845).
