JUPITER
Dr.Mark Kidger reports that he has observed the reappearance of the
South Equatorial Belt on 1990 Aug 22 at 05.30UT using the Mons 0.50-m
Telescope at Teide Observatory. He mentions that the SEB was not as
prominent as the NEB.

AM HER, MV LYR, CM DEL, VW VUL
We have received a request from professional astronomers for details
of observations made of any of the above stars this year to date. We
require the date, time (UT), full estimate with comparisons, reduced
magnitude, class and instrument. Please also quote the chart source
and revision date. This is required urgently, preferably by e-mail
during the next few days.

MODEM ADVICE
A potential new member of our e-mail group has an Amstrad PCW 8512
and wishes to access JANET/STARLINK to receive our messages. Can
anyone recommend a suitable modem and software for this machine?
