Mike Collins, Sandy, England, reports his discovery of an
uncatalogued variable star in Cas located at:
             RA 00h33.9m DEC +59 24' (1950).
On UK Nova Patrol photographs of 1990 Oct 28.8UT the star was
recorded at 11.0 (K2415) whereas on 1988 Nov 13.9UT it was near
magnitude 10.3. He finds that the object, of spectral class BOe, is
listed in 'New Emission Stars in Cas' by Dolidze and Ponomareva
(Astron. Zh., vol 42, p205-7 , 1965) as DP 24 = LS I +59 48. In the
Guide Star Catalogue it is listed as 3666.957 at V=10.47.
The Editor provides additional estimates:
1954 Aug 8, B=10.8:(Lick Atlas)
1969 July 22, B=10.7 (Atlas Stellarum)
1978 Dec 4, 10.6 (Kodak 2475, A.Poole, Patrol Master)
