TASV 0234+38 (Q1990/79)
Mike Collins, Sandy, reports his discovery of a possible new variable
located at: RA 02h 34.1m DEC +38 45' (1950) on exposures of
1990 Sept 28.0 when the magnitude was estimated as 10.3. (Kodak 2415,
135mm FL lens). A photograph by M.Oates of 1987 Oct 29.09UT shows
the star near magnitude 9.5 using the same film type. The star is
(98) on the AAVSO chart for UY And.
Other identifications by Mike Collins:
=IRAS 02341+3845 = IRC+40046 = Dearborn 9426.
The GSC lists the star as GSC 2932.02012 with V=9.09 which seems
bright?
