COMET ARAI (1991b)
H. Kosai, National Astronomical Observatory of Japan, telexes the
photographic discovery of a new comet by Masaru Arai, as shown
below:

M. Arai (Yorii). Measured by Kosai (assisted by G. Sasaki). The
Jan. 5 film, taken with a 0.16-m reflector, is overexposed and the
image is near the edge of the frame. The Jan. 6 exposures were
taken with a 0.30-m hyperboloid astrocamera. Comet diffuse with
central condensation.
R. H. McNaught (Siding Spring). Uppsala Southern Schmidt telescope.
Comet strongly condensed; 2' coma.
