SUPERNOVA 1991P IN ANONYMOUS GALAXY
S. Raychaudhury, Institute of Astronomy, Cambridge; and G.Williger,
Cerro Tololo Interamerican Observatory, report the discovery of an
apparent supernova (R about 20.0) in an anonymous galaxy (J about
16.5) on CCD images obtained with the CTIO 0.9-m telescope on
Apr. 10.27 UT. The candidate object is 8".0 east and 8".9 south
of the nucleus of a spiral galaxy centered at R.A. = 13h15m24s.3,
Decl. = -15 02'19".4 (equinox 1950.0). No star appears in this
position on the first Palomar Sky Survey E and O plates.
Preliminary inspection of raw CCD images in V and R suggests that
the candidate has decreased in brightness by about 0.3 mag as of
Apr. 11.22 and that the candidate is bluer than the spiral arms.

SUPERNOVA 1991Q IN NGC 4926A
C. Pollas, Observatoire de la Cote d'Azur, reports his discovery of
an apparent supernova located at R.A. = 12h59m43s.11, Decl. =
+27 55'02".8 (equinox 1950.0), found on two films taken Jan. 26.2
and 27.2 UT. The object (V about 18.0) is offset 5".6 W and 1".8
N from the nucleus of NGC 4926A. On a film obtained on Apr. 7.0
by A. Maury, the object still seems visible, slightly brighter than
V about 21.

SUPERNOVA 1991R IN ANONYMOUS GALAXY
R. H. McNaught, Anglo-Australian Observatory, reports his discovery
of a possible supernova of mag about 18 on a U.K. Schmidt J plate
taken Apr. 9.6 UT by P. McKenzie. Coordinates of the supernova are
R.A. = 15h52m39s.44, Decl. = +19 09'28".2 (equinox 1950.0).
Offsets from the parent galaxy's nucleus are 5".5 west, 8".9 south.

SUPERNOVA 1991S IN UGC 5691
M. Hamuy, Cerro Tololo Interamerican Observatory; and J. Maza,
University of Chile, report the discovery by Roberto Antezana of a
supernova 5" east and 18" north of the nucleus of the galaxy UGC
5691 (MCG +04-25-025). The supernova (mag about 17-18) was found on
a 20-min IIa-O plate taken by L. Wells and Hamuy with the CTIO
Curtis Schmidt telescope on Apr. 10.093 UT. Coordinates measured
for the galaxy are R.A. = 10h26m43s.1, Decl. = +22 15'48" (equinox
1950.0). Confirmation was obtained on Apr. 13 by E. Cappellaro and
L. Pasquini at European Southern Observatory (V about 18) and by D.
Tucker (Yale University) with the 1-m Carnegie telescope at Las
Campanas Observatory.
