SUPERNOVA 1992C IN NGC 3367
     H. Van Winckel, European Southern Observatory, reports his dis-
covery of a supernova on a blue plate taken Jan. 28.3 UT by G.
Pizarro with the 1.0-m Schmidt telescope at La Silla. The supernova
is located 27" east and 28" south of the nucleus of NGC 3367 (R.A. =
10h43m.9, Decl. = +14 01', equinox 1950.0), at the end of a spiral
arm. Preliminary photometric measurements obtained by O. Hainaut
yield B = 16.5. Preliminary spectra indicate a type-II supernova.

1992 BC
     E. Helin reports the discovery of a fast-moving asteroidal ob-
ject by K. Lawrence and herself on exposures obtained with the as-
sistance also of P. Rose and C. Brewer with the 0.46-m Palomar Schmidt.

Preliminary orbital elements by B. G. Marsden:

AK CANCRI
Further to the note on E601, Taich Kato (Japan) E-Mails that he has
confirmed this to be a SU UMa type variable with a flicker period of
only 0.0674 days (similar to UV Per). A previously unannounced outburst
was observed (from VSOLJ data) by M.Yamada on 1991 May 14th (mv=14.1).
Timo Kinnunen E-Mails that he has regularly seen this star at approx. 20
day intervals at maximum (mv 13.5-14.0).

FY PERSEI
Professional Astronomers have asked us to monitor this nova-like variable
which historically shows deep minima. The star is located at R.A. =
4h38m06s, Decl = +50 36.9', (1950). Blue Mag 12.3-14.5 (GCVS IV).
