RS OPHIUCHI
Savvas Koushiappas, Nicosia, Cyprus has reported that this
recurrent nova is brightening, having reached magnitude 10.6 on
1992 June 21.861UT. This may not represent a major outburst but
part of one of the active phases of this star. To assist us in
investigating this behaviour could observers with any results for
1992 Jan 1 onwards please send date, time, full estimate,
magnitude, class, instrument and sequence used.

SUPERNOVA 1992ac IN MCG +10-24-007
G.Gomez, Instituto de Astrofisica de Canarias reports that whilst
obtaining a spectrum of SN 1992R, another supernova was located 4"
north on May 30. This has been designated SN 1992ac.

PERIODIC COMET ASHBROOK-JACKSON (1992j)
A. C. Gilmore and P. M. Kilmartin report their recovery of this
comet, as shown below. Their observations appear to confirm a
single-night detection reported more than a year ago. The position
is in close agreement with the prediction on MPC 16380 (ephemeris
on MPC 19528).

V CORONAE AUSTRINAE
This R CrB-type variable star has shown a slow decline in recent
months, as indicated by the following visual magnitude estimates by

Anglo-Australian Observatory):  Mar. 3.74 UT, 9.9; 10.67, 10.1;

NOVA SCORPII 1992
Paul Camilleri, Australia, informs us that Terry Lovejoy of
Rosanna, Victoria has found a pre-discovery photograph showing
the nova which was taken on 1992 May 10.5UT using a 127mm f4.7
lens stopped to f/7 on T-Max 400 (5x4"format), 2 min exposure.
The trailed image of the nova is of about mpv=10.
Paul also provides further personal estimates (cf E646):
1992 June 19.359, 8.9; 24.365, 8.2; 25.534, 8.2; 27.402, 7.9;
28.536, 7.4.
The nova is evidently rising to a second maximum.
