SUPERNOVA 1992al IN ESO 234-G69
R. H. McNaught, Anglo-Australian Observatory, reports his discovery
of a supernova (mag 16,type Ia) in ESO 234-G69 on an R plate taken
by Q. A. Parker with the U.K. Schmidt Telescope on July 27.6 UT.
The supernova is situated at R.A. = 20h42m19s.37, Decl. =
-51 34'38".0 (equinox 1950.0, uncertainty 0".5 in R.A., 0".3 in
Decl.) with offsets from the galaxy's center being 18" east, 12" south.

SUPERNOVA 1992am IN ANONYMOUS GALAXY
M. Phillips, Cerro Tololo Interamerican Observatory; and J.Maza
University of Chile, report the discovery by R. Antezana
(University of Chile) of a supernova located about 19".3 west and
1".4 south of the nucleus of a spiral galaxy at R.A. = 1h22m32s,
Decl. = -4 54'.6 (equinox 1950.0). The supernova is of mpg 18.5.

SUPERNOVA 1992an IN ANONYMOUS GALAXY
J. Maza, University of Chile; and M. Hamuy, Cerro Tololo Inter-
american Observatory, report the discovery by R. Antezana (Uni-
versity of Chile) of a supernova (mpg about 18) located about 6".5
east and 5".5 north of the nucleus of a spiral galaxy at R.A. =
13h34m59s, Decl. = -30 26'.2 (equinox 1950.0). Both Supernovae (92am
and 92an) were discovered with the CTIO Curtis Schmidt telescope.

PERIODIC COMET SCHUSTER (1992n)
S. Nakano, Sumoto, Japan, reports the recovery of this comet by
T. Seki at Geisei. The comet is mag 18, small and diffuse without
nucleus;there was a faint tail in pa 245 deg on July 29.The indicated
correction to the elements on MPC 14594 (ephemeris on MPC 19707)
is Delta(T) = +0.04 day.
