This has resulted in IMMEDIATE changes in the way users on the two systems communicate with each other and tests were carried out yesterday by the Editor to clarify the rather vague instructions originally issued. a) Janet to Telecom Gold Those on JANET wishing to send messages to Telecom Gold mailboxes should use, taking the Editor's box as an example: 10074.mik2885 at uk.ac.goldgate For VMS in 'mail' this translates to: cbs%uk.ac.mhs-relay::uk.ac.goldgate::10074.mik2885 For other users merely insert their system and mailbox numbers separated by a full-stop in place of 10074.mik2885. b) Telecom Gold to Janet As before it is first necessary for the Janet user to send some messages to Telecom Gold as this is the way a 'dummy mailbox' number is allocated for future use.
