S 10930 IN LYRA
W.Wenzel, Sonneberg, Germany reports his discovery of an
uncatalogued probable U-Gem type variable in Lyra and located at:
RA 18h59m58s DEC +42 50.4' [1950].
10 outbursts have been detected on 597 exposures obtained between
1963 and 1992 with various astrographs at Sonneberg with the
maximum 13.2mpg. On the Palomar Sky Survey the star is not
conspicuously coloured and is of about magnitude 18.0.
An e-chart is provided below but the sequence should be treated
with extreme caution as it is based on the Guide Star Catalog only.
Identification is from IBVS 3883 where the discovery was announced.
Observations with FULL estimates should be communicated to the
Editor until more is known about the star and comments on the
sequence would also be welcomed.
