THE ASTRONOMER THIRTIETH ANNIVERSARY MEETING
Details of this meeting were given on E-Circular 823 issued on
Mar 25 and in the 1994 April issue of 'The Astronomer'. The latter
also included a booking form.
For those not receiving the magazine, a cordial invitation is
extended for you to join us on this special event.

The speakers are:

Gareth Williams, Associate Director, Minor Planet Center, USA who
will talk on the 'inside workings' of the MPC.
Also Jim Muirden: Founder Editor of 'TA' on its early development.
    Guy Hurst  : 'Special events of the First 30 years'
    Melvyn Taylor: A review of variable stars since the sixties
    Graham Keitch: Developments in comet observing over the period.

The cost is #5.00 (Five pounds) for admission to also include
morning coffee and afternoon tea. Lunch is available (three course)
at an extra cost of #6.00 (six pounds).

We need the bookings confirmed within the next few days and suggest
you despatch funds AND e-mail to advise us as we understand some
mail is disrupted by a London postal strike. All bookings and
