V1413 AQUILAE
John Bortle, Stormville, New York, USA e-mails that he has
observed an abrupt and dramatic decline in brightness of the
eclipsing symbiotic nova V1413 Aquilae (=AS 338) which is located
at: RA 19h01m32s DEC +16 21'47" (1950)
The GCVS has the range as 10.6-15.1V.
Observations by John Bortle follow:
1994 Oct 7.0UT, 12.9; .13.0, 13.0; 25.0, 13.0; Nov 2.0, 13.0;
8.0, 13.1; 20.0, 13.1; 25.00, 14.3; 25.98, 14.7
Although the results might be linked to an eclipse, John comments
that the decline seems much too rapid and deep suggesting a
possible alteration in the state of the object.
The following e-chart uses the identification in Prov ASA 5 No 3,
369 [1984] by David Allen but the sequence is approximate only
being taken from the GSC. If anyone has an existing chart and
sequence please forward a copy to the Editor as soon as possible.
