TA CHART SERVICE A new edition, (1995 March) of the Variable Star Catalogue is now available and can be sent for 3 pounds post paid. It contains details of 529 objects and details chart availability as follows: A charts: 45 B charts: 258 C charts: 212 Total : 515 Cross references are also given to those objects with e-charts which now number 127 variables. Where stars are already on the programmes of the BAAVSS and/or AAVSO efforts have been made to unify some sequences. The catalogue also gives 'a quality assessment' detail for each sequence for those selecting charts to observe other objects such as comets and asteroids.
