Since its six magnitude outburst in 1969 regular reports have been received at both AAVSO and TA. John mentions it faded from 9.9 to 11.7 between 1972 and 1982 and thereafter a slow fade of 0.02 magnitudes per year set in with the star being near magnitude 12.1 in recent years. On 1995 Feb 3.0UT, John Bortle estimated at 12.1. More recent observations confirm the fade: 1995 Apr 23.04, 12.8 (Tonny Vanmunster,Belgium 0.35-m refl.); 26.48, 13.0 (Bortle); 29.05, 12.8 (L.Szentasko, Hungary, 0.33-m refl.); 29.08, 13.0 (L.Jensen, Denmark). Editor:The star is located at: RA 20h57m06s DEC +44 03.8'(1950) According to the GCVS the star is associated with a luminous arc-shaped reflection nebula. This was first noted in 1971 with a length of three arc minutes but appears to have decreased simultaneously with the fading of the star. V795 CYGNI (=Q1995/049) Tonny Vanmunster, Belgium, reports an outburst of this dwarf nova which is on the Recurrent Objects Programme of the UK Nova/ Supernova Patrol: 1995 May 2.944UT, 13.5 (Vanmunster, 0.35-m refl) Confirmed by Gary Poyner on May 3.019 at 13.6 (0.40-m refl.).
