Fluctuations appear to be over a short time scale and observations are therefore recommended several times each night: UT Date UT Dec JD Estimate CCD/mpv mv Cl I Surname 24-Apr-95 0.880 832.38 14.5 L Jensen 26-Apr-95 0.620 834.12 14.58 S Kiyota 29-Apr-95 0.840 837.34 14.9 L Szentasko 03-May-95 0.207 840.71 16.0 R Royer 03-May-95 0.546 841.05 17.00 D Nogami 03-May-95 0.829 841.33 16.1 L Szentasko 03-May-95 0.910 841.41 16.5 J Pietz 04-May-95 0.120 841.62 15.2 J Bortle 04-May-95 0.159 841.66 15.2 D York 04-May-95 0.172 841.67 15.3 J Bortle 04-May-95 0.175 841.67 15.2 D York 04-May-95 0.197 841.70 15.2 D York 04-May-95 0.299 841.80 15.6 R Royer 04-May-95 0.307 841.81 15.6 R Royer 04-May-95 0.315 841.81 15.6 R Royer 04-May-95 0.860 842.36 16.0 J Pietz 05-May-95 0.584 843.08 15.81 D Nogami 06-May-95 0.492 843.99 15.40 M Iida 06-May-95 0.600 844.10 15.23 D Nogami Nick James, Chelmsford has e-mailed an image obtained on 1995 May 3.8UT (0.30-m reflector+CCD) which shows the star near this initial minimum at approximately magnitude 16.5. He has again measured the position to check identification: 1995 May 3 RA 12h32m25.83s DEC +14 20'42.9"(2000) This is around 0.1" from the position he obtained on 1995 Apr 6 and which appeared on E944 and VSC 61. VARIABLE IN CEPHEUS ON 'LD' PHOTOS (=Q1995/033) Discovery details for the above object appeared in 'The Astronomer', Vol 31 No 372 [1995]. Gareth Williams, Minor Planet Center, USA reports that the object is recorded on the recently received Digital Sky Survey at V=14. He obtains a precise position from the PSS I plate [epoch 1954.595, 15 comparison stars from GSC, mean residual of fit 0.2"]: RA 21h57m26.08s DEC +64 12'48.9"[2000].
