Pollas, Observatoire de la Cote d'Azur (OCA), reports his discovery of an apparent supernova (V = 17.7) on a technical pan film obtained on Sept. 22.97 UT with the 0.9-m OCA Schmidt telescope; the supernova is located at R.A. = 23h26m44s.46, Decl. = -4o57'45".9 (equinox 2000.0), which is 11".3 west and 14".1 north of the spiral galaxy's centre. SN 1995ab is not visible at this location on the Palomar Sky Survey prints. IAUC 6237 SUPERNOVA 1995ac IN ANONYMOUS GALAXY Pollas also reports his discovery, on an OCA technical pan film taken on Sept. 22.91 UT, of a supernova (V about 18.5) located 2".5 west and 4".2 south of the centre of an edge-on spiral galaxy (mag about 16.5) at R.A. = 22h45m41s, Decl. = -8o45'.2 (equinox 2000.0). Nothing is visible at this location on the PSS. IAUC 6237 SUPERNOVA 1995ad IN NGC 2139 R. Evans, Coonabarabran, N.S.W., reports his visual discovery of a supernova located 25" west and 5" south of the nucleus of NGC 2139 (R.A. = 6h01m.1, Decl. = -23o40', equinox 2000.0); on Sept. 28.8 UT, Evans estimated mv = 14.0-14.5, noting that nothing was visible at this location on Aug. 25 (0.41-m reflector). IAUC 6239 SUPERNOVA 1995ae IN ANONYMOUS GALAXY C. Pollas, Observatoire de la Cote d'Azur (OCA), reports his discovery of a supernova (V = 18.5) on two Technical Pan films obtained on Sept. 22.97 and 27.03 UT by D. Albanese and himself with the OCA Schmidt telescope; the supernova is located at R.A. = 23h16m55s.65, Decl. = -2o04'36".4 (equinox 2000.0), which is 5".4 west and 0".5 north of the galaxy's centre (the galaxy itself being of mag B about 17.0). Nothing is visible at this location on the Palomar Sky Survey prints or the Digital Sky Survey. A nearby star (V about 15) has position end figures 17m02s.55, 05'28".9. IAUC 6241 SUPERNOVA 1995af IN ANONYMOUS GALAXY C. Pollas, Observatoire de la Cote d'Azur (OCA), reports his discovery of an apparent supernova (V = 20.5) on two films obtained on Sept. 1.07 and 2.08 UT by D. Albanese and himself with the OCA Schmidt telescope; the supernova is located at R.A. = 23h24m53s.45, Decl. = +41o24'11".5 (equinox 2000.0), which is 5".4 west and 8".6 north of the spiral galaxy's centre (the galaxy itself of mag V about 18.0). An OCA Schmidt film taken on Sept. 20.95 shows the new object at V = 21.7. SN 1995af was not visible on OCA Schmidt films taken in 1991 Aug. and Sept. (limiting mag B = 22.0) or on 1995 Aug. 5.10 (to B = 20.0), nor is anything visible at this location on the first and second Palomar Sky Survey photographs. A nearby star (V = 19) has position end figures 53s.33, 05".6. IAUC 6242 Guy M Hurst
