The object appears to be GSC 2180.01553 which is located: RA 20h59m37s DEC +26 28'34"(2000). On the discovery photograph of 1996 Feb 28.2UT, taken with a 135mm telephoto lens on Kodak 2415, the estimated magnitude was 10.4. The star was much fainter on the original patrol master also taken by Mike Collins on 1991 Aug 9.0UT when the magnitude was 11.9. Analysis by the Editor of negatives submitted by the discoverer indicate a convincing case for variation in the range 10.3-11.9 and the star has therefore been assigned a preliminary designation of: TAV J2059+264. Observers should note that there is a companion, about 20" north listed in the GSC as mag 12.6. \\\\\\TAV J2059+264 Found by Mike Collins S,400,6,S -C,20.9936, 26.4761,2000 O,200,200,10.3,11.9 -L,L,Var -T,type unknown -S,TA960408 P,20h 59.6m +26 29' (2000) M,8,40,320 R,9.1,313,163,A M,9,369,364,39,300,5,95 R,10.4,153,205,B R,10.9,276,326,C,A M,10,285,388,124,255,13,64 R,11.2,197,152,D,A R,11.5,171,244,E R,11.8,93,219,F M,11,394,348,67,359,174,387,20,394,47,261,63,303 M,11,317,38,379,158,93,133,281,201,317,207 R,12.1,187,85,G R,12.9,226,200,H,R M,12,83,353,228,348,397,362,89,352,183,338,69,373,103,359 M,12,127,382,279,319,386,323,3,300,342,316,166,299,381,257 M,12,145,320,321,291,396,293,90,312,328,335,254,317,172,293 M,12,390,329,55,273,358,47,75,11,52,123,348,4 M,12,17,112,161,146,46,86,82,164,354,63,56,101,269,103 M,12,240,116,22,165,335,107,58,155,101,60,329,124,105,210 M,12,141,77,62,186,300,70,277,36,383,212,392,130,34,235 M,12,282,230,34,235,325,42,363,123,135,12,86,173,116,244 M,13,196,342,298,353,99,353,273,398,110,367,40,338,115,307 M,13,106,308,39,250,51,12,363,23,219,37,23,57,319,139 M,13,181,6,348,123,191,106,280,152,79,119,385,73,55,104 M,13,164,150,207,136,278,52,195,68,70,54,67,114,37,63 M,13,43,175,104,86,372,168,351,195,218,74,77,197,65,109 M,13,142,137,263,172,396,144,273,203,98,227,164,45 M,13,106,165,200,196,343,240,172,130,250,27 E,128 ////// Basic chart automatically generated by CHART ver 1.6 Guy M Hurst
