It climbs rapidly North and East in the next few weeks but although it achieves 15 degrees altitude in the WNW evening twilight by July 20th, the crescent Moon is already fattening towards first quarter on July 23rd. Full Moon is on July 30th. The comet continues to climb higher into the NNW evening sky but the Moon does not get out of the way until about August 4th when, at 2200 UT (moonrise) the Comet will be at a very nice altitude of 30 degrees and still around mag 10, on the borders of Coma Berenices & Canes Venatica. The comet continues to gain in altitude as Autumn evenings draw in and is at the zenith in N.Cygnus by 1930 UT in early October. However, by then it will have faded to 12th mag. >From August to October it travels through Bootes, Draco and Northern Cygnus.
