This circular is being sent to both e-circular subscribers and various non-members so we repeat all details below. This year's AGM will be held on Saturday September 28 at St.Mary's Church Hall, Basingstoke, England starting at 11am and with an approximate finish of 5pm. The final list of SPEAKERS (subject to revision if unavoidable) is: Dr. Chris Clayton Starlink and the amateur astronomer Chris Spratt Visual observing from a Canadian urban centre Martin Mobberley Hyakutake from Tenerife: a once in a lifetime experience Maurice Gavin Digging deeper with CCD imaging Daniel Fischer Lessons from Hyakutake Guy Hurst The first novae in Cassiopeia this Century? This meeting is especially important as we will be discussing the experiences of observing Hyakutake and our plans for monitoring Hale-Bopp. However all tastes will be catered for, not just those of our comet observers. This year we wish to extend an invitation to the numerous NON-MEMBERS who are in regular contact with us. The charge for admission and lunch are the same for members or non-members: Admission 6 pounds each (Entrance, talks, tea and coffee) Lunch 7 pounds each (Cooked luncheon which is optional) BOOKING for this event is essential.
