AW Sge

Gary Poyner reports the following details of a rare outburst of
this star:

"Jochen Pietz has reported his detection of an outburst of AW Sge
on Sep 17.9 at mag 15.0:.  This has been confirmed by Taichi Kato
with a CCD observation.

There are no previous outbursts listed in either the Recurrent Objects
Programme database or Tonny's Outburst Activity Database, so this clearly
gives us an ideal opportunity to study an outburst in this star for the
first time, and obtain an accurate astrometric position."
