SUPERNOVA 1996bo IN NGC 673
A newspaper announcement regarding the supernova appeared in
'The Times' today (1996 Oct 26 issue on page 3). It is believed
that the supernova is the first ever to be found by an astronomer
from the UK.
An e-chart and preliminary sequence follow. It is believed that
the object has not yet reached maximum and therefore estimates
at this crucial stage are vital. If it is necessary to use fainter
stars than on the available sequence please quote their
approximate offsets in e-mails to the Editor so we can reduce
the results at a later date.
