IP PEGASI
Gary Poyner, Birmingham, UK reports an outburst of this eruptive
star which is being monitored as part of a continuing PRO-AM
project. The event has been confirmed by Bill Worraker of Didcot,
UK:
1996 Nov 23.797UT, [13.8 (Poyner)
     Nov 27.865UT,  12.0 (Poyner, 0.40-m refl. sequence: Skiff)
     Nov 27.953UT,  12.4 (Worraker, 0.26-m refl. TA sequence)
Please report your observations to Dave McAdam in the usual way
but also send a copy to Bill Worraker.

RX ANDROMEDAE
Janet Mattei, AAVSO, USA advises us via AAVSO Alert Notice 232
(1996 Nov 18) that this dwarf nova (Z Cam subclass) is undergoing
a period of unprecedented faintness, according to observations
in the AAVSO database going back to 1922. The present visual
magnitude is approximately 15.4.
