SUPERNOVA 1996cb IN NGC 3510
Further to the note on E1155, despite a suggestion from spectral
analysis that this object might have been past maximum at
discovery, recent reports suggest it is still brightening as
mentioned on E1156. We therefore provide an e-chart and sequence
in the hope observers will be able to obtain further images and
magnitude estimates:

G.Hanson, USA reports via the AAVSO that he has detected an
outburst of the TA Recurrent Object BZ UMa and Tonny
Vanmunster in Belgium has confirmed this:
1997 Jan 8.213UT,  [14.1 (Hanson)
         9.194UT,   14.4 (Hanson)
         9.791UT,   11.9 (Vanmunster, CCD unfiltered)
According to an AAVSO report the last recorded outburst in
their database was for 1996 May 14 when the star reached
magnitude 10.6.
