Vanmunster, 0.25-m SCT, unfilt.CCD) DM Lyr was last seen in outburst on July 7, 1996 [TA E-Circular 1097]. It became as bright as mag. 13.7 [CVC 99], around July 11, 1997. The above information was supplied by Gary Poyner and also has been extracted from CVC 142 (Belgian). NSV 8001 Guy M Hurst, Basingstoke, England reports the following visual estimates (0.44-m reflector) of the variable reported by Mike Collins in TA E-Circular 1197: 1997 May 25.941UT, 11.6 26.927 , 11.4 28.927 , 12.0 29.934 , 12.2 He adds that the star is visible on the digitised Palomar Sky Survey. The original plate was obtained on 1954 May 6 at 09.16UT and the variable is estimated to be approximately magnitude 13.1. Guy M Hurst
