Q1998/017
Mark Armstrong, Rolvenden, England reports his discovery of an
asteroid passing near NGC 4298/4302 during imaging for the UK Nova
Supernova Patrol. The following measures are available:

1998 Feb 23.07169UT RA 12h21m23.43s DEC +14 40'02.8" Mag 16.3
         23.09619      12 21 22.71      +14 40 14.1
         23.13070      12 21 21.49      +14 40 25.4
         23.98498      12 20 53.72      +14 45 49.5
         24.00674      12 20 53.01      +14 45 58.0
         24.03220      12 20 52.12      +14 46 07.4

Mark predicts for Feb 25.8UT approx:
                    RA 12 19 52.3       +14 57 17
Follow up observations are sought.

Q1998/018
Mark also reports discovery of another asteroid, this time passing
near NGC 4371:

1998 Feb 24.01565      12 25 01.17      +11 44 47.5  Mag 16.8
         24.03856      12 25 00.31      +11 44 59.1
         24.05859      12 24 59.60      +11 45 10.2

Predicted for Feb 25.8UT approx:
                    RA 12 23 50.8       +12 01 08

Again follow up observations would be appreciated.

Both objects detected with 0.26-m LX200 and unfiltered CCD.
