SUPERNOVA 1998aq IN NGC 3982
The object provisionally announced on E1288 has been designated
as above by the Central Bureau and reported on IAUC 6875. This
represents the third supernova discovery by Mark Armstrong and
the eighth by members of the UK Nova/Supernova Patrol.

An e-chart and provisional sequence follows. Given the possibility
that the object brightened between discovery and the follow-up
imaging on the next night, it is vital it is monitored regularly
as it may still be rising towards maximum:
