Despite this the object is clearly stationary from the latest astrometry by Mark (0.26-m SCT + CCD): 1998 10.20.99522 RA 22h 39m 30.38s DEC +08d 36' 21.1" Mag 15.5 AQ CMI (=Q1998/080) Rod Stubbings (Australia) has reported an outburst of the Recurrent Objects star AQ CMi. Gary Poyner, Birmingham has obtained confirmation: Oct 15.688 14.6 R. Stubbings 18.146 14.7 Poyner (0.40-m reflector) The last outburst occurred on 1997 March 28, when AQ CMi reached magnitude 14.5.
