Further patrol photos have now been obtained and submitted to the editor for analysis. The object was quoted by Mike as located at: RA 05h56m21s DEC +55 27'09"(1950) and was found to be fainter than magnitude 12.2 and not recorded on patrol photos of 1992 Nov 26.9UT whereas on 1989 Nov 1.9UT it was recorded at magnitude 11.1. The latest analysis by Collins and the editor yield a range of magnitude 10.7-[13. The object, formerly log as Q1992/092, is now therefore desginated as TAV 0556+55. The editor notes the star was recorded on a photograph (K2415) by Nick James of 1992 Dec 20.88 from which an estimate of 12.9 is derived. Examination of the editor's Palomar Sky Survey (red) digitised copy for 1953 Feb 11 gives a magnitude of 10.0. However the object does not appear to be in the GSC. Using the Palomar Survey, an estimated position has been obtained: RA 06h00m31s DEC +55 27'14"(2000) An e-chart and sequence follow: \\\\\\TAV 0556+55 b =Q1992/092 S,400,6,S -C, 6.0089, 55.4544,2000 O,200,200,10.7,(13? -L,L,TAV -T,type ? -S,TA981122 P,05h 56.3m +55 27' (1950) M,6,134,280 M,7,333,283 M,8,209,161,294,162 R,9.5,214,283,A M,9,16,86,144,343,333,388 R,10.0,299,210,B,R R,10.8,181,177,C,B M,10,118,341,339,87,333,307,160,186 R,11.3,117,238,D R,11.5,219,251,E R,11.7,235,240,F,R M,11,22,211,12,358,75,38,82,362,269,52,277,53 M,11,217,148,392,272,312,272,273,372 R,12.0,246,199,G R,12.6,246,154,H,R M,12,132,300,19,369,21,15,5,88,140,336,30,131,52,37 M,12,60,161,51,201,190,76,256,126,163,24,286,211 M,12,323,199,333,121,311,269,239,320,396,328,314,36 M,12,309,64,343,308,375,27,269,383 M,13,153,278,77,245,2,221,59,239,31,264,47,293,93,79 M,13,67,94,62,185,252,83,325,62,376,66,247,128 M,13,218,46,394,194,355,74 E,69 ////// Basic chart automatically generated by CHART ver 1.6 Guy M Hurst
