SUPERNOVA 1999by IN NGC 2841
Brian Skiff, USA advises us that the star of magnitude 12.62 which
he proposed be added to the sequence for this supernova and which
was labelled 'Z' on the TA chart given in E1405 was incorrectly
linked by him to GSC 3431.388. It should, in fact, be GSC 3431.1249
which is east and not north of star 3.
The position of the correct comparison is given by Brian as:
RA 9h22m53.3s DEC +51 01'28" (2000).
An updated e-chart is given below with the revised sequence
reference of SN/039.02. If anyone has used the old star 'Z'
(to date we have no estimates logged with this star) then please
amend it to 'Y' in your estimate but in future please do not use this
star at all.
