GM SGR
Further to the note on E1442 regarding the bright outburst of
GM Sgr, an e-chart was supplied on E1445. The editor finds the
position on Guide 7 is incorrect being about 1' north of the true
place. Instead, it appears GM Sgr = GSC 6848.03786 which is
catalogued with an approximate GSC magnitude of 13.5.

CCD images secured for the UK Nova/Supernova Patrol by Guy Hurst
failed to record the object:

1999 Aug 29.884UT, [10.5; Sep 9.862UT, [9.9. (50mm lens + MX516
CCD).

Unfortunately the latter image was affected by a tracking problem
which lowered its limiting magnitude.
